What
have you learnt?
I have learnt how to use more special effects on Photoshop. This allowed me to follow conventions more and and make my text appear better. In addition I have the different features, for example I have an institution and a bar code on my final product however nothing on the Preliminary Tasks front cover.
How
have you developed?
I am now more able to take better photographs, this is due to me learning how to use a SLR camera along with been more competent when editing it in Photoshop.
What
would you change?
If I was to do this again or change something I would have a more the text stand out a little bit more after hearing my audience feed back and I would also add that having a more of my features placed of the front cover, I feel would make it look more conventional and have more space filled up.
Why
was it useful carrying out the preliminary task?
I feel that it was useful to carry out the preliminary task as it enabled me to see the capabilities of Photoshop and this was well needed to make a more successful final product. Doing the preliminary task also let me look at the main general conventions found on magazines, then if made me see the further conventions needed to a specific genre.
What
skills and knowledge did you learn in order to produce a music magazine?
The skills I learnt let me use lots of different tools available on Photoshop and then gave me the ability to use this to make my product look conventional. Been able to do this helped me have the creativity to try different tools that I have learnt how to use and see what works and what does not, this was a learning process and I am able to do more on Photoshop than I did when I did my Preliminary task:
Quick selection
The blur tool
Transform scale / rotation
Character (for font and layout related
issues)
Spot fix,
Red eye removal,- Layer style
Gaussian blur
These are new tools I have learnt how to use.
Somebody else's opinion on how I have Improved.
